Fine Art Textures?
Fine art textures are used to enhance original artwork through various techniques in an effort to add depth and atmosphere to an image. Photos that incorporate textures are similar to a collage – layers and layers of images are overlaid, opaque areas and semi-transparent areas combine to create a new “texture”. These new textures are then used in combinations to create a new image – in some cases substantially different from the original photo that came out of the camera. In addition to using textures on my own work I also offer a number of free textures on my Photomelange.com site, after many requests from artists and photographers I began selling commercial use texture packages.

I currently work with national and local advertising agencies, marketing communications firms, web development firms and small businesses.
I’ve worked in advertising and design for quite a few years now… lets just say I started out standing at a drafting table with a t-square, rulers, illustration board and wax, yes… times have changed.
Over the years my clients included Welch Allyn, Lockheed Martin, Terax Hair Care, Epson and more. Projects I have completed include books, magazines, brochures, corporate ID, ads, direct mail, responsive web sites, content managed web sites and more.
I am located in the Syracuse, New York area and work remotely or in-house as needed.
